Family Open Studio Sessions
A hosted creative studio experience for families
These sessions are a relaxed, shared creative time for one adult and one child to make things side by side in The Art Room ( a very limited number of extra child spaces are available on a first-come-first-served basis on booking).
Each week the studio is set up with a selection of materials and a simple starting point to help you begin. From there, you’re free to follow your own ideas, work together, or explore separately at your own pace. This is not a taught class and there are no step-by-step instructions to follow. Instead, the focus is on having time, space and permission to make things without pressure or expectation.
On arrival, you’ll be welcomed into a working studio environment where everything is ready for you to begin. Tina is there to help you get started and support you if you need it, but you won’t be directed or asked to produce anything in a particular way. These sessions are especially good for younger children, home-educated families, and adults who don’t often get the chance to be creative themselves; it’s definitely about your chance to be creative as well as theirs.
Tea, coffee, refreshments and a calm, friendly atmosphere are included – and no commitment is required – you can book as a one-off or come regularly.
