Beginning Drawing

£85 for all four sessions

Whether you last held a pencil at school or you’re just curious to see where a blank page can take you, this friendly, four-week course will open the door to the joy of drawing.

Led by Roger Towndrow – former Head of Drawing and Fine Art at Falmouth University – each session focuses on a core characteristic of drawing. Roger will share simple demos and inspiring examples, before inviting you into an open, exploratory drawing time.

You’ll be free to choose your own direction:

• Draw from objects in the room

• Work imaginatively from your mind’s eye

• Explore from photos or other references

Roger will be on hand throughout to help you develop your ideas, experiment with materials, and discover new techniques. Each session ends with a relaxed group discussion, where we share work, swap thoughts, and explore any questions that arise.
