Batik – Room to Experiment

Batik is a delicious method of decorating fabric using wax to resist dye, creating patterns and areas of colour as the fabric is coloured.

Building on our beginners session in September, Nikki Bovis-Coulter will be offering a chance to enjoy and develop your batik skills. Don’t worry though, if you haven’t done it before this is still for you!

We will experiment with small pieces to build confidence, then create a larger square image using melted wax and vivid coloured dyes.

Once the wax is ironed out you have option of putting them into frames for you to keep and display or give as a gift or just take them home as they are. Frames with mount will be an extra £8 on the day.
