Carve Club – Carving for Colour in Lino Printmaking

Carve Club is a relaxed, monthly lino session focused on slowing down and getting absorbed in the rhythmic, meditative process of carving and printmaking. You’ll learn traditional carving techniques, mark-making, and ways to develop your own visual language. Each month explores a different theme, using the work of well-known lino printmakers as inspiration. Erin from Pick Pretty Paints will guide you through tools and techniques while encouraging experimentation and personal expression.

August – 29th Carving For Colour

A celebration of colour this month will focus on creating a block to play with colour mixing, blending and placement of colour. During the workshop we will take inspiration from Claire West & Andrea Lauren. We will then make carving choices specifically in mind of colour framing and the balance of colour.
