Copy of Carve Club – Carving for Colour in Lino Printmaking
Carve Club is a relaxed, monthly lino session focused on slowing down and getting absorbed in the rhythmic, meditative process of carving and printmaking. You’ll learn traditional carving techniques, mark-making, and ways to develop your own visual language. Each month explores a different theme, using the work of well-known lino printmakers as inspiration. Erin from Pick Pretty Paints will guide you through tools and techniques while encouraging experimentation and personal expression.
September 26th – Print & Pattern
This session is all about breaking up the block and creating a selection of modular abstract shapes for printing play. Repetitive printing and overlaying techniques will be inspired by Eloise Renouf to create a variety of monotone patterns and print placements.
Erin is a printmaker, author, teacher and paint creator based in the Sloop Studios in St. Ives.
