Claygroup: Pottery workshop – Friday mornings
Claygroup is a relaxed handbuilding session for adults without pressure or instruction overload. It’s equally suited to beginners and people with experience. If you’re new to clay we can guide you through basic techniques, or you can just get stuck in and explore as you go. Help is always at hand but we also encourage experimentation and risk taking. If you’re experienced, just book in, grab a coffee and get going!
We use white stoneware clay, building small functional or sculptural pieces by hand which we decorate with underglazes and a few ready mixed brush on glass glazes. Firings happen whenever we have enough dry stuff to fill a kiln. and are included in the price.
No commitment is necessary – just book in online whenever you feel like it.
*You are most welcome to come along and just make stuff for fun, but we can only hold uncollected stuff for as long as we have space, so I do periodically just dispose of things. I can’t be held responsible for tidying frenzies, so please do let me know if you are planning to come back and collect long lost items or if you are happy for them to go!
